I mentioned in an earlier post about enjoying visiting foreign grocery stores. I really liked visiting Italian groceries. I had to take some pictures to share with you.
The first noteworthy thing about groceries in Italy is that you MUST wear gloves to touch the produce. Here is a glove dispenser.
The produce was absolutely beautiful withe the red, red tomatoes still carrying some vine. It really stood out given that our winter tomatoes in Bots are not very nice now. I have more picts of produce, but don't want to wear you out.
As you might suspect, the pasta section of the grocery is huge...
In fact, so big that I had to take three photos.
And, as you might suspect the olive oil section is pretty impressive too.
Prov 13:25 says, "The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite, But the stomach of the wicked is in need."
Eccl. 6:7 says, "All the toil of man is for his mouth, yet his appetite is not satisfied."
We eat and then we are hungry again. But one of these days...
