Our son Daniel, his lovely wife Shannon, and new granddaughter, Evie, bought a new home a few months back.
Like all new homeowners, he bought a lawnmower. At first I was a bit skeptical. I remember these from the old, old days, before power mowers gained great popularity.
I used it a bit, and discovered it is quite a workout. Why pay to go to the gym, when you can get a workout and get your grass cut at the same time?
And then Brenda had an epiphany. When our economy crumbles, when the power distribution system fails, when all petrol is long gone... Daniel can still keep his lawn nice and tidy. It's the perfect, post-apocalyptic lawn care device. Not electric, not gas, just beans and bread is the only fuel it (or actually Daniel) needs!
So, all of you survivalists out there, scoop up one of these babies before they are all bought up by some cartel of hoarders some where.
