There were some great highlights of the meeting. The city, as we said, was very pleasant. The traffic was light. We lived only 4-5 blocks from Lake Michigan. We found a couple of restaurants that we really liked: Knicks, near our hotel, and George Webb, near our meetings.
There was a park, about 3 blocks from our hotel, and on our path to the meetings. The Friday we got there we discovered that they were celebrating “Bastille Days” in the park all weekend. We visited the food trucks, heard the music and saw the sights. On Thursday they had a jazz concert. We visited it and met some neat folks.
And that is the key thing for us, the people we saw and met there. Here is a list of some of them:
Giancarlo and Amanda- CRU staff from NY City.
Sam and Kimberly- CRU staff from NY City, and Sam is taking a pastorate in Dallas. What a change!
Lots of our Staff- Dennis, Kasia, Jim, Cindy, Cathy, Steve and Sarah, David and Christiana and lots more.
Random folks- Woody, Joey, Julie, Bob, Aubrey…
Most of the meetings, which began at 0915 and went to 1130, then resumed at 1:45 and went to 3:30, and then one or two seminars or other meetings, were good. My favorite was “Leading with Questions.” The guy’s speaking style was exemplary, plus I love questions.
And there’s more…
