Fooled again, by the Weather

A bit over a week ago we were welcoming the spring time weather.  The sun was out, the temperatures barely required gloves, a hat, down vest, outer jacket, a scarf and boots.  In fact, Phil wore tennis shoes to work a couple of days.

This AM, 10 April, there is 2-3 cm of new snow.  Vinter is not yet gone, despite the arrival of spring on 21 March.

I mentioned to a Swede a few days back that Swedes don't seem to notice the weather.  They replied, "swedes talk about the weather constantly.  It's the most common topic."

Brenda was telling our pastor how much she enjoyed seeing the new clean snow falls.  He very dryly replied, "We have had snow a long time.  We aren't nearly so happy to see it as you are.  Your hope for more snow might not be a good thing to mention to local folks."

G^d give us everything in its season.

Job 38:22
Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

Isa 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Isa 55:10
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

  2. That Isaiah 55 passage has been part of my memory work while you've been gone. No snow here. Don't you worry about that.
