Tendai

As we drove up to a friends home that we had visited before, we noticed the large artsy name on the front wall beside the door.  Tonya, the hostess, told us about the name design and the designer.  The fellow who had done it so well was named Tendai (Tend-eye).  Tendai's art and design was located at the entrance to the Bull and Bush Restaurant.  Tonya explained where it was, and I had a notion of how to get there.  Tonyas's direcitons were good, and a few days later we were admiring Tendai's work.  To be honest, we did more than admire, we bought at bunch of stuff.

Tendai is Zimbabwean.  There are a lot of folks here from Zim.  Zim had, and still maintains a very good educational system.  A friend told me that his experience is that the Zim folks are mostly sharp and industrious.  He also told me that at times Zim has had an annual inflation rate approaching 1million percent.  That means the prices would double about 10,000 times per year.  That means you better buy as soon as you walk into a store, because the price is about to go up!

This same pastor told me about a pastor he met from Zim.  The pastor said he had a congregation of 300 members, all of whom were unemployed!  Wow!

Now would be a good time for all of us to sit back and think about how Blessed we are.   Don't rush through it, enjoy.
