G^d is Good, Regardless

Last post we were struggling through the CDG airport trying to get to Italy.  Two of our flights cancelled, Brenda was hoping that we would be "forced" to spend the night in sight of the Eiffel Tower.

It would be easy to despair.  At least it would be easy for me to despair.  But there are little spots of cheer.  We had the free lunch courtesy of Air France.  We had an interesting conversation which I will post about later.  The CDG airport was clean, bright and secure.  The temperature was nice.  We hadn't sweated and didn't feel gross as is sometimes the case after over-night flights.  We were tired, but not overly so.  We were enjoying each other's company.  Even the eveinig sunset was beautiful from our spot in the airport.

Despite the bad prospects for reaching our destination, we had a lot for which to be thankful.

Too often I see the glass half-empty instead of seeing that there was just excess glass capacity.

We have so much for which we ought to be thankful.  Here we were stuck in Paris, and a great many people in the world could never get there to get stuck.

The L^rd G^d, Jehovah, has blessed us all.  All who know Him ought to be extremely grateful regardless of whatever else may transpire.  We ought to "Count it all joy when we encounter various trials...".

Now to practice what I know to be true.

To be continued...
