Victory at Last

Against all odds and good judgement we made it to Italy!

We were only 11 hours behind schedule, but still made it on the scheduled day...barely.

The helpful Air France agent got us on a late flight to Bologna, via NOWHERE!  Go figure.

We had a direct flight, hurrah, hurrah!

We happily went to our gate at the appointed time, only to find out... it would be late in taking off.  Late, no problem, especially when you were strongly betting you wouldn't make it that day at all.

Sure enough, against odds and logic, we took off just under 2 hours late, but we were in the air.

We had recruited a lot of prayer support, so it SHOULD HAVE BEEN no real surprise we were gonna make it.  I would like to say that we weren't shocked, but rather thankful.  I would like to say it, and maybe it is even true.

We landed a little before 2300.  I was hoping that immigration and customs wouldn't be too slow.  Sure enough, not only were they fast, they were non-existent.  We walked from the plane to baggage claim and then to the taxi.  A short ride later and we were in the hotel.

And, our hotel room had a little surprise, no make that a BIG surprise for my dear sweetheart Brenda.

But that's for another post.

PTL, we're here!!
