Sweden is for kids (For Parker and Issac)

As we said earlier, we have a new baby downstairs.  Children are a major part of the landscape around us.  We’ve seen some really cute kids.

Because of the cold, kids have to be bundled up pretty good.  Some small children in carriages are enclosed in a little sleeping bag.  It sounds warm, and undoubtedly is warm (varm in Svenska).

Today I saw a little guy of maybe 5 years who was already on a set of cross-country skis.  No wonder they’re good skiers.

Because the snow provides some alternatives to carriages, here’s what we see:

  • Kids (not teens!) are not:
  • Worried about the stock market.
  • Worried about what anyone else thinks of them.
  • Infatuated with wealth, fame, power
(Mark 10:15)  Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

So, where do you think kids learn all that bad stuff?
